Remy Cayuela is a French/American director known for his blend of comedy and cinematic visuals. After the success of his graduation film The Deafgame, he directed music videos for artists like Naive New Beaters, Wilkinson, Duke Dumont, and Jax Jones, winning multiple awards (UKMVA, YDA Cannes Gold) and having his video for I Got U hit over 340 million views, winning a VEVO award.
His strong concepts and mix of comedy and storytelling led him to direct commercials for major brands like BEATS, Heineken, McDonald’s, Renault, and Nivea Men. In 2023, he directed McDonald’s brand films for 9 countries in the Middle East, and in 2024, he directed 15 global commercials.
Remy excels in casting and subtle comedy, working with a diverse range of actors, including celebrities, amateurs, and even animals (especially dogs). His distinct visual style and attention to detail allow him to navigate various genres seamlessly.
Based between Paris and Los Angeles, Remy is also a writer/director. When not directing commercials, he develops fiction, with multiple comedy short films and awards in the international festival circuit. His latest short, This Is Not a Rom Com, will hit festivals in summer 2024, and he’s developing three feature films across the US and Europe.
