Maya Albanese is an award-winning director and screenwriter known for whimsical storytelling that jumpstarts a social dialogue. She has shot commercials and films worldwide in Spanish, French and English, and her screenplays have been finalists in BlueCat, Austin, Screencraft and LA Screenplay Awards. In 2018, the Directors Guild of America awarded her the inaugural Commercial Directors Diversity Program Fellowship, and Shoot Magazine gave her the Badge of Honor for Rising Female Filmmaker as well as named her commercial "History" for Georgia Pacific "Best New Work of 2018." Maya has a Masters in Documentary Filmmaking from Columbia University in New York and Bachelor of Arts Summa Cum Laude in International Studies and French from Institut Catholique de Paris and University of California at Santa Barbara.
